HOW TO USE THEREMIN 003
(1) It can run from 9V battery or regulated mains/adaptor. To run it from a battery use a small
oblong 9-volt battery such as can be purchased at most stores; an 8.4 volt rechargeable battery may also be used. Plug the battery adaptor supplied with the Theremin into the 9-V socket BEFORE cannecting the battery to it. Now connect the battery to the adaptor, some batteries are a poor fit, and can be held in place with a rubber band. When not using the Theremin disconnect the battery. Always disconnect the battery BEFORE unplugging the adaptor from the Theremin.
(2)To run it from the mains power use a 9-volt REGULATED adaptor with a 3.5mm jack output, centre positive. If the adaptor is not regulated, there may be excessive hum and poor sound, or you may be unable to obtain Theremin sound. ALWAYS plug the adaptor into the Theremin BEFORE switching on or connecting to the power. When not in use, ALWAYS switch off the power BEFORE removing the adaptor from the Theremin.
(3)Turn the volume control (RED) fully anti-clockwise (lowest volume), then turn it up about a quarter turn. Use a screened connecting lead with a MONO jack plug (6mm or 1/4")to connect the Theremin to the input of an Audio amplifier. Now with the hands away from the antenna, adjust the TRIM CONTROL (green) until a Theremin sound is heard. Adjust it for very low pitch, at its lowest the sound will disappear, but will be heard again as you bring a hand near to the antenna. Now you can use the Theremin to create Theremin sounds.
(4) You can also connect the Theremin to sound effects such as echo,
reverb, fuzz-pedal, chorus etc.
(5)If you want to connect the Theremin to Wah-Wah, Phaser or Flanger effects, it is usually best to distort it first by using a fuzzbox, sound bender or similar distortion unit to give extra
harmonics.

This model has a single Antenna for pitch control only. Some other models such as 006, 008 have 'Volume Antennas'and can be played with both hands,one hand controlling Volume, the other hand controlling Pitch.
