Here a Student can work as intensively or in as relaxed a manner as they want. Subjects taught will reflect their individual needs. Classes are kept small, so there is ample space to spread out. Each student is allocated a Work Area which they can keep as messy or as tidy as they wish!
Every day there will be demonstrations of Making and Decorating Techniques.
The following sample timetable is subject to flexibility according to how the week develops......
SATURDAY . . .Kiln unpacking, assessments, departure.

Wednesdays are opportunities to visit the sea, the lake, other potteries , taste wine at the local vineyards, or visit the beautiful City of Nantes.
If none of this appeals, students can continue their work without the tutor, or simply laze away the day under the walnut tree.
Apart from the studios, there is a quiet room for reading, drawing, studying and designing. Behind the house, there is a sheltered courtyard and garden, with a further garden in the front where the kilns are. The house is set among quiet lanes, vineyards and fields. It is 40 minutes drive from the Cote de Jade in the west, and Nantes to the north.
Students have a choice of accomodation. There are local gites, for which early booking is essential. There is a campsite 10 minutes drive away. Best of all is to stay at the Pottery. Bedrooms are for two sharing, and there is a separate bathroom for students.
All meals are vegetarian, and consist of breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. To keep costs to students down, they are asked to share the preparation of meals and take a turn with the tea towel! Wine is included with dinner.
