This Model illustrated is an Electronic Music Sound Effects Unit which can be used with Musical Instruments such as Electric Guitars, Theremins and numerous other Instruments.

It adds extra harmonics to the sound of the Instrument with which it is used, so that the sound is considerably altered. When used with guitar it intermodulates the sounds of the strings if more than one note is played at once, and it adds a lot of 'sustain' effect to the notes. HOW TO USE FUZZ BOX FZ1

(1)Insert a 9-volt radio battery of the kind which can be bought almost anywhere type PP3 or an 8.4-volt rechargeable.
(2) Plug a MONO 1/4" (6mm) standard jack plug into the output socket to connect to almost any Audio - Amplifier, Mixer Desk, Hi-Fi,Effects Units, etc., by means of a screened Audio connecting - lead.
(3) Plug output from Electric Guitar, Theremin or other Instrument into the input socket.
(4)Adjust volume controls.
(5)Turn the 'Boost' control up a little, not very high, from Anti-clockwise (minimum).
(6)Turn the 'sustain' control up until a hiss is heard, then turn it down again so the hiss dissappears. This means that the 'noise gate' is active and has removed the 'hiss'. With guitar this setting should give a long sustain effect.
(7) You can also connect Fuzz Box to sound effects such as echo reverb, chorus etc.
(8) Adjust the 'sustain' and 'boost' controls to give best results. Do not turn the boost too high for your amplifier or speakers, in order to avoid damage.
(9) When not using Fuzz Box, remove Audio Jack Plug to save the battery. The Fuzz Box switches on when the audio plug is inserted.
